Cheryl Cote Alden

Cheryl Alden is a 1996 (cum laude) graduate of the University of Vermont with a bachelor degree in physical therapy. Her focus as a physical therapist for many years was outpatient orthopedics. Cheryl continues to expand her knowledge in the field of physical therapy and applies it to her current position at Symmetry Pilates Center. Cheryl has been a fitness instructor for over 20 years teaching various types of group exercise classes but has narrowed her focus to include only STOTT PILATES® and TRX. Cheryl is the sole lead instructor trainer for STOTT PILATES® in the state of NH and teaches STOTT PILATES® certification courses, workshops as well as the STOTT PILATES® rehab program through Northeast Pilates Education Centers in Beverly MA. She also travels throughout the USA and abroad for Merrithew (STOTT PILATES parent company) teaching the rehabilitation program to medical professionals on how to apply the STOTT PILATES program to the clinical setting.
Cheryl is an avid runner and triathlete and has completed various distance road races and triathlons including IRONMAN Lake Placid and IRONMAN Coeur D’Alene. A lifelong athlete, Cheryl enjoys educating and motivating others to reach their personal fitness goals – knowledge is power.
Jennifer Battistello

Jennifer has been teaching fitness classes since 2009 and is certified in STOTT PILATES mat and reformer, TRX and AFAA in group fitness. She is also a CORE instructor and has been trained in Injuries and Special Populations. After graduating with a BA in Psychology from Fordham University, Jen pursued a career in Technology in New York City then relocated back to New Hampshire where she started her fitness training career.Jen did not care for exercise (at all) until she found Pilates. Pilates made her think about how and why her body moved as it did, which fascinated her. Pilates suited her and she stuck with it changing her body and improving her entire life. This drove her to learn more, eventually becoming an instructor. Jen does her best to bring her personal enthusiasm for intelligent exercise to every client session because of her personal experience that it works.
Christie Chartier
Instructor
Christie is a certified STOTT PILATES®Instructor and has been teaching Pilates and group fitness for many years. In 2001, she began teaching Pilates and aqua aerobics at a local fitness center when her triplet boys were one years old. Since then, she has completed certifications in group fitness (AFAA), group strength, barre, spinning and yoga as well as adding two more children to her family. Pilates has been a wonderful stress relief to managing a family of seven and has remained Christie’s true passion over the years. In 2005, Christie became STOTT PILATES certified in Mat and Reformer and Injury and Special Populations in 2017. Her work as a group fitness and Pilates instructor has provided valuable experience in training all types of fitness levels from athletes to those with injuries and chronic conditions. Christie focuses on helping her clients gain knowledge of the Five Basic Principles to promote Pilates as a progressive and lifelong form of exercise. She loves how Pilates teaches body awareness and proper alignment as a way to bring strength and symmetry to everyday movements.
Marie Eshelman
Instructor
Marie discovered Pilates while studying journalism in Ottawa. After graduating, she worked as a marketing and social media manager in Montreal for several years, keeping Pilates as a hobby. In 2013, she moved to the United States and worked part time as a Pilates instructor in Stowe, VT while continuing to work in marketing. Marie has always been drawn to Pilates because of the the flow and discipline it requires. It also helped her recover from an old gymnastics injury. The impact of her study of Pilates on her personal life led her to pursue a career in the industry.Marie is a certified STOTT PILATES Mat and Reformer instructor, a certified TRX group exercise instructor, and an AFAA-accredited personal trainer. Her deep understanding of anatomy and body mechanics helps her find the root cause of imbalances in the body, and her communication skills and fluency in both English and French help to translate her knowledge into action.
